Lean Coffee
Lean Coffee is an agenda-less meeting format designed to foster democratic, efficient discussions. Participants propose and vote on topics, which are then prioritized for timed discussions. This method, used widely in agile and business circles, allows for productive conversations on a diverse range of subjects without a predefined agenda.
1. Collect and Pitch💡
First you collect all the topics as a group. Once all topics have been collected and tagged, each participant will do a 2-minute pitch of her or his topic.
HowItWorks
2. Vote
Then the group votes on which topics they really want to discuss further.
3. Discuss using Timeboxes ⏰
The group uses the discussion board to discuss the chosen topics in a timeboxed manner during maximum 3 rounds of 5, 3 and 1 minutes.
4. Decide👍
Finally, the group decides what the status of each topic is: is it ready, should we continue talking, or should we park the optic because it is not all clear yet? This is done via so-called 'thumbs up or 'down'.
